Governance and Committees

Governance and Committees

IDFA is governed by an Executive Council and five Industry Segment Boards. This structure provides maximum engagement for members and allows the association to remain nimble, inclusive and effective in representing all segments of the dairy processing industry.

The result: A strong, unified voice in IDFA’s legislative, regulatory and communications efforts on behalf of our members and the dairy industry.

Executive Council

The IDFA Executive Council focuses on the business and operations of the association and carries out its fiduciary responsibilities

Industry Segment Boards

The Industry Segment Boards provide strategic vision and policy direction. The boards currently represent fluid milk, ice cream, cheese, yogurt and cultured products, and dairy-derived ingredients, and IDFA may add new boards as the industry continues to evolve and new product categories emerge.

Committees and Working Groups

IDFA offers many opportunities for member engagement on our committees, task forces and working groups. All committees work closely with the Industry Segment Boards.

Committee and group members collaborate to develop comments, guidelines, studies and other materials, while building or enhancing a network of colleagues with similar professional responsibilities and interests.
